At Spam404 we are always looking for new ways to help protect internet users from scams and other abusive content found online. This is exactly why we have created an anti-scam filter which can be used with AdBlock and Adblock Plus, two very popular browser extensions.
We have integrated the data we hold on websites created to scam into this filter to make browsing the internet a much more safer experience. Our filter is completely free and so is AdBlock or Adblock Plus! Here is how to subscribe to our anti-scam filter: 1. Install AdBlock or Adblock Plus. 2. Go here and under "Miscellaneous" you can find our anti-scam filter and to subscribe just click "Spam404" next to "Subscribe:". It's as simple as that! If you find a suspected scam website that isn't blocked by our filter please report the website here. If you have any questions, comments or even criticism about our anti-scam filter please feel free to leave them below as a comment, we look forward to hearing from you! Cameron Dawe, Spam404 Founder

Greetings. A user of my extension ("HTTP Switchboard" @ https://github.com/gorhill/httpswitchboard) suggested I support your list. However I can't find any license information. Could you add license information *in* your list so that it's clear whether it can (or can't) be downloaded and used in other ways than through an ABP subscription. Thanks.

Does this still block ads? I only want to hide bad sites, not ads.

All I wanted to know is what content you deem to be abusive. I have been unable to find a single list or bit of actual info on the items that your definition of "abuse" covers. I would really like to know, because the term "abusive content" is wildly abused itself & used in a very *broad* variety of applications. What some of us see as abusive, others do not & vice-versa, so I found it extremely odd that a site which exists to list all of these "abusers" & to fight said content & take it down, would fail to include any list or page that explains that more or goes into even a little bit of detail on the categories or something, anywhere on the site. :( I was so excited to install this, but I realized quickly that it might cause me problems in the long run. An example might be that you people consider pirated content as abusive, so maybe include this not only as something you get taken down, but use the adblock filter to block, while some people, in fact rather a lot, might extremely disagree on this subject being "abusive" in any way & yet, would still really like to be protected from the ridiculously growing number of scams, scammers & jerks out there ruining the internet. So please, if you might have time (I know you're likely busy, I completely understand that & I get that this is all voluntary, so please don't assume I'm unappreciative or demanding or anything. I just would really like some info if it's available), maybe add a section that has not only a list of the types of things the filter blocks/you get taken down, but also maybe include a guideline for those who report links & sites, to help them understand what is a reportable offense. This wouldn't just help people like me who want to know, this would help you *greatly* most likely, because maybe it would help cut down on pointless reports or things that you don't consider even in the realm of "abusive". It may help everyone on every side of this, so it would be rather awesome. I'd be willing to even put said section together if given the list or info or something. I appreciate the project, I just need to know more about it before using it & fully supporting it, ya know? :)

It doesn't update the list on Adblock Plus with Google Chrome 42. Why?

Could you please support ublock too? It's another extension that blocks ads and I use it instead of Adblock. I kinda want to automate the process of blocking spam

Hi, would you consider making the list available as a hosts file? This would allow me to add it to my routers filter so even my iPad would see the benefits.
